Yanqi Lake, the amusement park, has been constructed for 15 years, and all sorts of service facilities were being perfected. The gate of the amusement park was constructed in 1992. It is of 45.6 meters length and 12.3 metres width. At the two sides of the magnificent gate were two shapes of wild goose which linked together. The gate was known as "The first gate of the north Yangtz River", and got the prize for one of China’s top 10 construction awards in the year of 1993. On the square of the park, there erects a 3-meter-wide and 6-meter-high granite rock on which President Jiang Zemin wrote "Yanqihu" . At the gate area, there are 3000 square metres of tsui chuk and 10,000 square metres of garden pieces on Jiangnan style with a total of 100 million ornamental trees and tsui chuk. More than 100 stone tables, stone chairs as well as wood chairs are prepared and various kinds of notices for guidance and introduction are normally and completely installed. Three dragon cars are ready for visitors with the routing from the gate area to the pier totalled 1.5 km. Visitors on the cars can not only avoid walking by themselves but also enjoy the scenery along the lake road. 7 public toilets with high standard and 3 large-scale parking areas with 2000 spaces are built within and outside the park. Besides, there are four restaurants which can hold 1000 people and supply with 200 sorts of bakery snacks on traditional style, such as fast food and baking mutton. By the lake, 40 high-class holiday huts which can hold 150 people are built with shower, independent bathrooms, air conditionings. Moreover, 6 departments of commodities are used for providing tourism necessities together with Huairou’s specialties and new products. Around the lake area there are more than 30 middle & high-class hotels with total 8000 beds and 200 large conference room , such as Yunxiu Villa, Qihu Hotel, Wild Goose Hotel, Hongda Building, Yanqifang Hotel, Yanqi Villa. The hotels are equipped with perfect facillities such as sangna, bowling, indoor swimming pool, fitness clubs, chess rooms, karaoke halls and other entertainment items. Around the lake, a dozen of fishing and bakery parks are built.。 |
